I have 1 cat about 3 years old.

Currently going through “Legend of Dragoon” on my Playstation.

My newest “toy” is a COMPAQ iPAQ 3650 Pocket PC which I’m teaching my self to use the Photogenics Paint Program on. Wish I could use ZBrush on it.

Since I never introduced myself properly to the forum < yes I was a lurker ;), and kinda just popped in… Here it goes  HELLO WORLD!
39 years ago my mother gave me the name Camille  I am the proud mom of three sons 14,12,10, and 7 pups ranging from 6 months to 13 years old ;).
Married to a wonderful man, who has put up with me for 16 years! Together we worked to form several construction company’s in NY.So if you see me laughing about working in work boots… Now you know why
As far back as I can remember I have admired and loved art in a variety of forms. That’s one of the reason why I play in computer graphics. Attempting to create something, that I myself have enjoyed <key word here is “Attempting” lol>
I also have Bryce 4 & Poser. In June I started using ZBrush, I fell in love with the program. I have been importing and rendering there  Do to “reality” my time is limited on how much play time I actually have in ZBrush. But I squeeze it in every chance I get ;).

Cool idea for a thread! Good to meet all of you a little more formally.

I’m 32 years old, and from a little bit of everywhere in the U.S. Born in Alaska, spent many years in Montana, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Arizona; now living in my 10th state – Nevada. Mostly, I came to the desert because I was sick of living places where I turned blue for three (or more!) months out of the year.

There’s no art whatsoever in my background; I’m another of those happy folks who got “switched on” by ZBrush. (What is it about this program?) I remember cruising through the Renderosity gallery and seeing one awesome picture after another being turned out by ZBrush artists – specifically Pixolator and SouthernGFX. I kept wishing that someday I might be that good. I’m still not, of course. But it’s hard to be jealous when it turns out that one of them for all intents and purposes is ZBrush, and Glen is just too darned good to hate!

Anyway, I’m a sci-fi and fantasy fan (especially Star Trek and Lord of the Rings). I work as webmaster for a company that sells show and concert tickets, but that is slowly changing in interesting and enjoyable ways. Thanks to ZBrush.

thought I would try to keep the thread alive with all the new ppl showing up this past week or so

Hello all,
My name is Kelly (actually I guess it is Dr. Kelly.) I am 27 years old and live in Louisiana. Currently I am teaching various engineering courses at Louisiana Tech University, Go Dawgs! I began my computer interest a long time ago back on a TI89-4A and it hasn’t stopped yet. I have a bit of a art and analytical background so sometimes my creativity is not so great, but the concepts and ideas of art always intrique me.

Nice to meet y’all!

Okay, I’ll play…
My name is Michael Lapierre, I live in Ladner, British Columbia, on a 40 foot cutter-rigged sloop…(A sailboat that carries 2 sails in front for you non-nautical types…) I have never held a ‘regular’ job, and am a gemcutter, gemstone carver, airbrush painter, and jeweller, with a studio a 15 minute walk from my boat…I live with the most beautiful woman in the world, and we’ve been together for over 30 years…(I’m 54, going on 25). I am an expert knife-thrower, know how to knit, was born in Nova Scotia, and could live off the land like a king if civilization went belly-up tomorrow.
My studio window has a view of Vancouver, the third largest city in Canada, and we had 15 murders in the city for the entire year last year…

This is a great idea.First Stonecutter you can’t have the most beautiful woman in the world because I do  .

Sorry ed. but you’ve ruined the thread. you didn’t have to post. If posts are now being removed then I’m not being a part of it.

I have always disliked boards where posts can be edited. It just doesn’t seem right.

Very dishonorable.

naw…I edited.

Hi all! I whipped this up a couple of years ago, make sure you have your audio speakers turned on

If I only had a brain

I’m 21, and come from greece. I’m studying to be a psychiatrist and then plan on specializing on sexology.

I love the arts, play the piano, the guitar and the violin, and listen mainly to noise (wumpscutt, aphex twin, other industrial stuff, power-noise, grindcore and doom metal)

It was a cold day in January, 1965, when I crossed over. After so many years of this and that, I finally managed to find my place. Today, I am measured and tested by a loving wife, a 2 year old boy, and 2 girls: 4 and 7.
For work, I am a trainer in the cold corporate world of Communication/Advertising. For those of you living in the Southeast United States, check The Real Yellow Pages by BellSouth. Chances are the ads you see there were created by an artist I trained. At least the good ads were…
Karl Cartwright

Well here are my two or three cents worth…My name is Lonnie Sargent. I am 38 years old. I have a wonderful wife and a beautiful 4 year old daughter. I live in Webb City, Missouri which is in the south-west corner of the state. I have lived all over the country - California, Washington, Illinois, Louisiana, South Dakota, North Carolina, and Japan to name a few. I have always endeavored in art. When I was young I wanted to draw comic book heroes like Spiderman and the Hulk. I am employed by a national dairy company (we make Ice Cream) as a buyer and chances are that if any of you shop at Wal-Mart then you have probably seen/bought our product. I have worked for years in Bryce, Corel, Freehand, Illustrator, Photoshop and have recently begun working with Poser. I discovered ZBrush quite by accident. I was surfing the net for models and came upon a site (can’t remember which one) that had a link to a program called ZBrush. I came back to the link later and checked it out. From the moment I saw the first head modeling tutorial run I was hooked! I remember thinking to myself that I had finally found a medium that fit my work style. I had tried Organica but found it lacking. ZBrush has been an answer to my prayers in the arena of creative expression. It is the next best thing to physically working a piece by hand. I have many interests besides drawing. I do a great deal of wordworking and am very skilled with a scroll saw. I play violin, read, and love to play RPG’s. I am also a chef-wannabe. Emeril Lagasse is my hero! I am endeavoring to push myself with this software. I have nothing to prove and most likely will never become a bonafide artist- I do this strictly for the joy and satisfaction it brings. I work on a P4 1.3 Ghz with 256 Mb ram (soon to be 512!) If there were one thing I could get to heighten my experiences here it would be a 27" Sony Flatscreen Trinitron monitor! I currently have a 19" of same make. Other than that a tablet would be really really nice! I love this forum and I find the people to be honest and genuinely friendly.

Hi all. Im one of the youngins of the bunch at 21 and a half. Im from Dallas Texas and I’ve lived here for nearly all my life except for a year and a half after highschool where I thought I wanted to be an aerospace engineer. Designing spacecraft would be cool and all if it wasnt for the math. I dont know why I tried it, art was always my best class. Now I’ve got an associates degree in Computer Animation. Been looking for a job since September. Its awful trying to find one right now but I’ve finally got a few good leads with some gaming companies and a movie company.
No wife or kids, or pets. I want what alot of you guys have so dont take it for granted
Im a jeweler too, sort of. Im not very dedicated at it but once in a while I’ll do some and put it in my family’s shop. I do wire jewelry 2-6 thin wires wrapped around a stone for a ring or pendant. Wire hates me, the work is rough on the fingers, I dont know why I put up with it. :stuck_out_tongue:
I love Classic Rock music (Zeppelin rules) Hockey, and of course doing this art stuffs.
