And why?
I tend to prefer Sculptris or Sphere3D because I find it easier to just start with a ball of clay. I haven’t tried Dynamesh yet.
You?

I do a lot with scan data so I really liked Sculptris. Then dynamesh came out and now I only use Zbrush. The flexibility is much better than Sculptris.
Dynamesh is amazing. It allow you to do something creative instead of worrying about the technical aspects too much.
I like how quick I can build out an armature or volumes with zspheres. Depending on the shape I’m trying to make I might try something similar in other applications, except cobbling together other primitive models like cubes. Later on I can always dynamesh the result if I need to (though I prefer keeping the res as low as possible and turning it off as soon as I can so that I can step up and down subdivision levels to make larger changes).
Thanks for the replies.
I think I will try Dynamesh tonight.
I went through a ZSpheare tutorial last night to see what they are all about. I really like the concept. It is very easy to pose the resulting mesh.
Zsphere give you a much cleaner mesh to work with, but dynamesh makes quick work of almost any shape. Once qremesher i released, it dynamesh might end up being the fastest workflow and still end up with a clean structured mesh.
