Because of such specular level and curve settings it looks like a plastic…

That willis image is really him!

Her’s another contribution to the speed modeling frenzy. 11 minute sphere model.

short hair

I like his beard

You can add noise to make the sensation ofshort hair

thank you illusion digital for the promising tip. Are you talking about setting the noise curve, stroking and causing streaks?

Another one, at 22 minutes, same base primitive.

[fastheady2.jpg]

Bas Mazur, how do you hide everything but the eyes in your session?

The eyes are a group of the mesh. Ctr-Shift and click the group.
Is this what you mean?

Sephellius: Awesome charitor

Baryonix: it looks like Bruce is dipped in new motor oil .

Here is another one, same primitive startoff. 33 minutes.

This is what I think when you say noise. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen of ZBC. You too strannik, for mistakenly neglecting you in my last post.

Ouch, dumb double post. I guess I’ll make my next entry here.

sephellius: Did you keep the script for this last post. I’d like to see how you did the hair just above the ears and toward the temple.
Thnx,
-TL74

Bas Mazur - Exactly! Thanks a lot

It is a goal of mine to produce portraits in a 3d format. All of the modelers in this challenge are obviously quite adept.
But few have attempted to portray a recognizable figure. Is it because, that is a far more difficult task?

It’s quite easy to model a face from sphere 3d. Marcel and others that use this method are creative. My last attempts were coming closer to being not so funny looking.

Keeping underlying surfaces in mind at all times.
I wouldn’t rely on it for total accuracy, but good fundamental charts:

This can be useful at times:

Ron:

It’s definately true that you can’t animate properly with a sphere. It’s speedy.

Maybe I should make a Z-sphere head.

Thanks again ron for showing me auricks way of editing to a default box. I was doing it the long and elaborate way.

but you can see here the Grub post…is just superb¡

and…welcome to ZBrush forum¡

I’m not the one to usually do things like that. That’s my side of the story. But I did do one portrait of Bay Raitt.
