Zooming In/Out - Rotating questions

I’ve only been using ZBrush for three days now so I’m spending most of my time just trying to figure out how everything works.

Is it possible to zoom in/out on the mesh that you’re working with? The only zoom feature I’ve been able to find enlarges the entire canvas creating a jaggy mess. I’d like to just zoom in/out from my 3D object not the entire canvas.

Also- I’m having a problem with the move feature. When I apply it to any 3D object it snaps back to it’s default rotation orientation losing all of the rotation that I’ve done to it. Is anyone else having to deal with this?

Both of these issues are making it very difficult to add details to my meshes.

Thanks for your help!

For Zoom in / out
In Edit mode try that
Alt Clic + Alt release and mouse drag (left mouse button always pressed)
When your object “fill” all the Canvas, make the same around the Canvas !!!
Seems difficult but with a little training of 10 second, it’s very easy

For the rotation use the “gyro” or in Edit Mode the “R”
Gyro has different use following the colors you pressed !
You can also press Ctrl and move your mouse on any icone for have an “Help On Line”
Hope this help!
Have happy Zbrushing!

If you are using Zbrush 2 check the help file. Under Zbrush Essentials there is a Hotkeys & Mouse Actions PDF file.

For using the Gyro view the zscripts under Modeling 3D Objects :small_orange_diamond: Basic Transformations.
