Zmovie Error/Bug

Hi ZbrushCentral,

I just went to load a zmovie that i was doing for lunchcrunch.blogspot.com

I recorded a few timelapses that i am about to release and at the time, i saved them as a ZMV file. So I could worry about exporting them later.

All of them loaded and exported just fine except for one. This is the message i got.

“Error has been encountered while trying to load the file. Loading has been aborted.”

Its the biggest of all the Zmovies i have and being part of a series i am doing, its the one with, (i think) the most valuable content.

Is there anything i can do to salvage this file?

can you split the larger content?

I don’t know how to split a .ZMV file. :frowning:

Is there no one who can offer any help. :frowning:

The only thing I could suggest is try and free up as much RAM as possible first. Shut down any other programs or background tasks that you have running then try to load the ZMV.

Yeah i was thinking that. The thing is im sure ive loaded the movie at least once (just to check it worked). Then when i wanted to load on a later date it wouldn’t.

If it wouldnt load into because of RAM constraints, would it try to load it at least and then choke because right now it just pops up the error screen instantly.

I will try a few more times (with minimum background resources) but i think i might have lost this file :(.

I’ll bump this because I’m having the same problem!!!

I’m recording movies in segments, and they loaded okay the first time, but now none of them load.

It’s not a ram issue, I have 8gb with nothing else running.

It seems it’s a Zbrush fail, guess I’ll have to resort to something like camtasia next time. But for now, I’m just screwed because about 8 hours of recordings are gone!

Really sucks too as I was going to use them on my demo reel. Now I have no recordings, again.
