Zbrush4.2 pen presure problem :(

This happens only in 4.2 , any other programs like ( Zbrush 4 , Photoshop … there is no problem like this :frowning:

the problem is :

while i doing a model in 4.2 everything works fine , until suddenly the pressure of the tablet disappeared and began working like a mouse (no pressure), I tried to reinstall the drivers but no change.

hope there is a way to fix this :frowning:

Windows 7 64 bit

Tablet Intous 3

Thanks

I can’t reproduce this problem. Please check the following…

  1. When you feel that pressure sensitivity is lost, use the tablet pen (do not use the mouse) to open the preferences palette and then the ‘Tablet’ sub palette. Is the ‘Use Tablet’ button pressed or un-pressed? Are the buttons enabled or disabled?

  2. By using the tablet pen, open the Preferences: utilities sub palette. The first slider will show the pressure value that ZBrush getting from the tablet. By using the pen, click in the gray area near this slider and modulate the pressed that you apply to the pen. Do the numbers shown in this slider fluctuate between zero to one?

+1. i am getting this problem also. all ui indicators set ’ use tablet ’ to true. but pressure sensitivity comes and goes

I have the same problem…

fixed by ALT+TAB on any other program window and then back to Zbrush…
annoying bug…

Same problem, but with Intuos2.

now this happens and i try to do that steps …

( i make this steps using the tablet not the mouse as you told me )

  1. when i go to the USE TABLET it was turn ON

  2. but when i go to the utilities sub palette and tried to test the pressure had no effect, and the number of “view tablet presure” was a solid one, and as to the pressure on the gray area had no effect

:frowning:

I’m having the same problem. Though mine is 100% reproducible for me. I have a cintiq 12wx and I’m using Win7

I just press CTRL+S to save. The save dialogue box comes up and I save my project. When the dialogue box closes and I’m back in zbrush my pressure sensitivity is gone. I can fix it by tabbing out to another program and coming back. This does happen 100% of the time when I save.

I am having a similar issue with my tabletPC. No pressure sensitivity at all.

Everything here is disabled/grayed out. I cannot change it.

I get no change in this slider, stays at 1.

I am using a Toshiba m700 tablet pc
windows7, 4gigs ram
I have installed the latest wacom tablet pc driver

same problem. all tablet options grayed out. perhaps it thinks the multitouch is a mouse?

asus b121 slate tablet. win7 64bit.

dug around a bit more and discovered an older version of the wacom driver that enables pressure sensitivity with all apps and ZBrush. (warning, the current drivers on wacom and asus’s websites do not work)

Also, apparently if you let the windows update install the wacom driver, you will have to reinstall windows.

here’s the link to the working version of the driver.

http://www.asus.com/Eee/Eee_Pad/Eee_…P121/#download

select win7 64bit, and look for this driver under the touchpad folder.

Wacon ISD_DualTouch_V7.0.2-21

install this driver and ONLY this driver from this page. restart.

zbrush and all other apps should now have pressure sensitivity working.

Noticed that pressure sensitivity is lost when you save your Ztool. However a simple ALT+TAB solves the problem.
No need to install or reinstall any drivers.

this is what i noticed as well. i see a lot of posting about drivers. is it a problem with the drivers or w/ zbrush?
