Zbrush won't subdivide ZSphere Polymesh

I have a Zbrush 4R8 and for some reason I can’t subdivide my mesh created with ZSpheres. I can get subdivision out of regulard sphere or objects but not when I turn ZSpheres into PolyMesh. Anyone knows why ? (And it’s Geometry that I used not Geometry HD).

Thank you

I’m not clear about what you mean. Do you mean there is no Divide button? Or that when you press Divide the polycount increases but your model isn’t smoothed? A screenshot would help.

here is the print screen. It just wont divide mesh into finer polygon resolutionScreen Shot 2017-09-07 at 2.13.42 AM.png

That’s because the Adaptive Skin you made is Dynameshed. With your ZSphere tool selected, turn “DynaMesh Resolution” slider in Adaptive Skin subpalette down to 0 before you click “Make Adaptive Skin” button.

It would be nice if that slider default setting was 0 to begin with. (ahem Pixologic)

Oh man you saved me, thank you so much. I used ZBrush long time ago and back than I don’t remember this option ever being even an issue. Or maybe I can’t remeber it. Either way thank youc for reminding me. I reinstalled Zbrush cthinking it is a bug hahah.

No problem man! I think that slider is new to 4R8. Personally, I don’t even know why they would put that in the Adaptive Skin subpalette.
