O.K two threads ago I had posted a head for a new project I was starting, scrap that, I am moving on to this. This probably won’t be the finished texture, and I might tweek the head a little, adding a little more detail to the hair and surely finishing the eyeballs. I know I want to do a cloak and staff with jewels and stuff, but aren’t sure about the background, definitely woods/trees, but I don’t know if I should use another program like Vue, or Poser to make it. what do you think? All Z-brush, or other app for background o.k? Perhaps instead of 3D I will paint a background, and add a couple 3D trees for depth effect and shadow catching. hallrighty then, until next time!

Space I think I would have kept in same thread and not worry about it. I think you are making a great start here with a unique looking character. Very stylistic. Keep going!@

pretty much the final head, which i redid entirely tonight, after learning some technique last night. made a material for it as well, i might add a scalp bump and color but that will be it “i think”. p.s the color bump is too much, i will turn that down.
Included is a quick sketch I did today, it gives an idea of where I kinda want to go with this, i thought it would be fun to actually make it a 3D element in this post. till next time! opinions or advice welcome.

here is some more work on this project, I am just frustrated with it at this point. hands are so hard to model, it damn near impossible. I don’t know what i am going to do with or for the background, but this where I am now?

well one of tartan’s comments compeled me to give this guy one more shot, so here it is, i don’t know what to think of it, it was so frustrating, i think mostly because of the hands, and trying to figure out what to do for a background, by the way it is a photo i took in the fall, textured to a 3Dplane, and place in the scene. cheers!

it is a walking stick frenchy, and it has a small tallismon amulet on it, it leads before the body of the carrier, and clears the path of the spirit. LOL, no it’s not that complicated, I don’t know man, felt like he should be holding something. no more intelligent questions thank you! Just kidden. Yeah so that’s it… :smiley:
