Great work so far, keep it up. I love ichigo. Anyway, here comes the CnC.
While your cloth that you’re rendering is very near to the image you’re using as reference remember that 2D can get away with a lot that you just can’t do in 3D. I would take a look at some draping cloth and take a TON of pictures to use as reference. Also, get a friend to grab a bed sheet or something like that and drape it around them and take pictures. Have them stand in that stance, or if you have a good enough camera, have they moving into that pose so you can actually get the way the cloth works in motion.
The form of your character is off from what I can tell. The shoulders aren’t pushed forward enough, or at a sharp enough angle. I am attaching some quick paintovers (hope you don’t mind). Try to grab either a Zsphere skeleton and get the pose you need, or just a base mesh and pose him, then you can work your sculpt around the new pose that you’ve made. (really easy with Zspheres).
Also, you should turn off your textures/polypaint that you have. No amount of color can change the sculpt, but it can get in the way. Always (well, not always, but mostly) work with a single color and material on your models. Think, real clay, you don’t paint it and then sculpt it. You should work the same with digital clay.
Other notes…doesn’t ichigo wear shoes?
Hope this helps.
