Why won't my charcter t-pose?

image
I have tried so many ways to rig this character (I first try rig in maya and bring it in Zbrush and didn’t work). I then try rig it using zsphere and now it still not working and I don’t know what’s wrong? I legit spend the 24 hours try to figurev out what went wrong.

Hello @Ash1 ,

The load prompt here suggests either an error with your process, or the possibility that the point order on your TPose mesh has been changed. You might get this message if you have selected a mesh other than a TPose mesh and attempted to use the Transpose Master “TPose| SubT” button, or you have selected a mesh that the program no longer recognizes as a TPose mesh.

To start, please review the documentation on the use of both Transpose Master and ZSphere Rigging in their entirety.

The following is the basic process to see how it works.

  1. Load the demosoldier.ztl from Lightbox, enter Edit Mode, and press the Transpose Master> TPose Mesh button while the “ZSphere Rig” option is active. This will create a valid TPose mesh ready for rigging.

  2. Draw out your rig using ZSpheres.

  3. Activate Tool> Rigging> “Bind Mesh”.

  4. Pose the mesh by moving the parts of the ZSphere rig.

  5. Press the Transpose Master> TPose|SubT button to send the pose back to the original tool and update all the subtools.

Wherever you are deviating from this process is where your problem is occurring.

If you take the TPose mesh out of ZBrush for any reason, the topology and point order must remain unchanged or it will break the TPose mesh. Programs have many sneaky ways of changing the point order. In ZBrush itself certain functions will break the point order. This is explained in the documentation. Other programs may have import options enabled by default to “optimize” the point order which will again break the mesh.

Good luck!
