ESP stands for: Ectopic Shapeshifting Penance-propulsion.

This is based on the Mars Volta album: De-loused in the Comatorium, when Cerpin Taxt meets for the first time the being: The Unhydriated and forsakens him.

The Undhydriated is never described with details as the chamber Cerpin is locked up, so I took freedom with those.

The character itself and the creature where made in Zbrush and then retopologized in 3D Studio Max, texture work was done in Photoshop, I didn’t correct some seams and there are a few mistakes of my own with the Sub-surface Scattering, but sadly I lost too much time in this and I have to get things done with my computer and sadly I couldn’t fix those.

The composition is pretty good. But to me this looks more like a WIP, try to find out how you can create a light setup which supports the scene. it looks all very static and 3D-ish. Like old computergames.
You should render everything out in 3Dsmax with a good GI.

The tentacles look more like buttons. Very unnatural. Also make them more wet and glossy. do some leakings on the walls so it all looks more like ocean, if it is supposed to.
