Wacom Intuos 3 issues.

yea it’s working. again, thank u

Did u guys slide it to the left or right? I’m still getting the problem either way.

to the right/ to high

There is fresh driver on Wacom’s site:
http://www.wacom-europe.com/int/downloads/driver/index.asp?lang=en

Anyone have tried it? Any changes?

Excellent. I just tried the latest English (Americas) version of the drivers (4.96-7a), and it seems the pop is completely gone. Finally!

bolba: Thank you for the heads-up…

Chad:
Pleased to hear your report. In anticipation of the pending delivery of my new Intuos 3 today, I just now downloaded the latest driver. The past history in this thread had me worried!

Sven

[edit: For anyone using the Intuos 3 (winxp), the correct driver update is 4.96-7a as mentioned above. Uninstall the earlier driver first and reboot. Tech support set me straight. One other tip: set doubleclick distance to Off. ]

Okay now i have this problem, even though i didnt before.
I’m not using a wacom, i have a cheapo aiptek tablet i’ve gone through all the drivers to no avail.

Unfortunately none of these solutions solved my problem :frowning: It is quite disgusting and heart braking to be honest. Most likely it has nothing to do with zbrush but maybe zbrush can come up with an update to handle it better.

I was still getting issues with this until a co-worker pointed out a feature in the Wacom Tablet properties that I never knew about.

Open up the Wacom Tablet Properties. Then double click the Intuos icon at the top of the window. Select the Recognition Data radio button. (Default is Standard Mode). Then click OK.

That should help you out. It worked for me… so far! lol

It seems like every time I “think” it’s working, the pop always comes back with a vengeance.

Chad, you are my hero until my next hero! That is alot better. So far, knock on the wood!!!

Great hint!! That should be a sticky!

Running back painting!

PS:The ‘splotch’ while starting is completely GONE… (Lemo petting Wacom Pen… good tablet good tablet…).

Update: Made quickly some Z-treats for that hint

Cool. Glad it helped.

That works perfectly on the Intuous 3. Give your co-worker a hug from me

As for you, well if you had not started this thread I would not have noticed the problem. Hmmm. Oh well, thanks anyway Chad

As above, i’d noticed it before but put it down to my big clumsy hands, nice one Chad…

Hello,

i have the same problem with my new workstation an wacom Intuos3 ! With my old intuos2 i have no problem. I have spezialy buy the new “better” tablet from wacom and now is it bad as the old wacom tablet.

any new´s for the problem:lol:

Intel Mac user here…

Using a Wacom Graphire Bluetooth tablet. I’ve experienced no problems what so ever using the tablet with ZBrush… It’s like butter!

Sorry to hear that some of you are having problems. I’m new to ZBrush so I don’t have any answers for you.

Best of luck finding a fix.

Peace!

Since I engaged that flag in the driver, it works like a charm. No Problems here any more.

Now I feel realy dumb for not reading the helps. They are right a person should read the instructions first :o

Exellent! Thanks!

I have had this problem too. Two things helped.

  1. wacom settings > Tip feel > Details… > adjust click threshold.

  2. (have not seen this on forums yet) Windows vista is made to support tablets and by default has flicks and gestures enabled, the small delay was waiting to see if you put in a gesture. Go into your control panel this feature off and for some of you, your problems will be no more. Control panel > Pen and imput devices > flicks > uncheck.

I was slightly peeved when I found #2 to be the culprit of who knows how much workaround to get my strokes just right.

I use a cinteque and tablet pc on the go, vista is nice for its tablet features but some features are not useful to artists, only CEO’s who do not draw and hate paper.
