Hi there,
after a day of trying and getting only wrong results, I just want to ask a question:
Does anybody know, if it is possible to use the vector displacement maps of ZBrush in C4D R 15? I´m working on a mac with ZBrush 4R7P3 and System 10.9.2
I tried out everything I know, that means: I started with the diagnostic file, but already there my cinema-R15 does not create a precise result – the default export number in the export prefs 1 creates nowhere a real sphere in C4D. So I decided to take the best result and choos 5.
Then I tried out every combination I could do, and at last I discovered MultiMapExporter.
All failed in C4D.
What I noticed: the vector displacement maps used for sculpted objects in C4D (I made some tests with similar objects) are looking quite different than the maps which are created in ZBrush (please don´d ask me to sculpt in C4D, its so primitive
So, what I think: it may be, that the vector displacement maps created in ZBrush are different to the maps you need in C4D, but I can´t find any information about that.
All other mapping works fine (normal maps, displacement maps, textures …)
Thanks for a answer!
Viele Grüße,
Stephan
