UI problem: Lower bar keeps coming back

Hi all.

I closed the lower bar in the UI where the Zscripts data is placed (That says Tutorial View when you leave the mouse) and saved the ui configuration.

Problem is, it opens back whenever i use PSnap. So when I save my model I have less canvas space and space in the interface filled with nothingness.

Is there any way to avoid this?

Thanks in advance

The tutorial window will always reopen to its previous height when a zscript or zplugin is activated. So instead of closing the tutorial window resize it so it is nearly closed. There will still be a couple of lines you cannot get rid of though.

Some zscripts/zplugins may still alter the height of the tutorial window. That means they are programmed that way and there is nothing you can do about it.

thanks for the advice, i resized it. but psnap alters the height back so … i don’t know

I have just tested the PSnap zplugin by Svengali and it does not set Tutorial Window height, it only reopens a closed Tutorial Window like any zscript or zplugin.

Try resizing once more but leave a little gap. If you resize too close to the bottom it will register as if you had closed the Tutorial Window. The window will then reopen the next time a zscript or zplugin is activated.

If all else fails I can write a little zscript that will set the Tutorial Window height to its minimum. Let me know how it goes.

I did what you said and resize it until it’s not fully closed and now it doesn’t reopen whenever i use PSnap

Thank you so much !!

Cool, glad you got it working :+1:

Just to add: to keep your UI the way you want, save the configuration by pressing Ctrl+Shift+I. It will then be like that for every ZB session.
