Trouble with Wacom and Zbrush Navigation. Please Help

Hi guys,

I really would appreciate some help here if possible.
I can’t seem to scale (zoom) when I have an object in view. zBrush just stopped working. Im using a mac and 4r7p3. I have tried everything. Reinstalled 3 times, I’ve updated my wacom drivers, deleted them, started fresh. I have deleted my pixologic folders in my user folder in my mac to start with clean instillations and still it doesn’t work. I removed all my custom interface etc in the process as well as custom hotkeys and yet it still won’t work. Everything else does except scale (zoom).

When I hold the ctrl key down and either drag on screen or use the right button on my wacom pen to navigate i just get a mask drag and no scaling of the model. I have tried using all the built in primitives etc and it just won’t scale (zoom). Any advice would be great, is there a file deep in my mac i need to delete, or am i just been totally stupid.

Thanks for any suggestions in aiding me with this trouble I’ve bumped into.

ps - i use a intous pro and a cintiq (both do the same thing).

Ctrl drag is supposed to mask.

Alt is used for scaling. Alt drag pans the model and Alt drag then release alt to scale.

Hope that helps. I think there’s a little too much keyboard gymnastics in ZBrush

Ive always used ctrl and right click drag to scale (zoom). and if i hold the right click button down over the model and hold the alt key down it sculpts. Its just beyond me whats happening here :frowning:

You haven’t accidentally switched Right Click Navigation off in the interface menu?

It works on mine with it switched on (Mac 4R7 P3)

its set up for right navigation and it still won’t work. Thanks by the way, its doing my head in.

Only other thing that springs to mind is if there’s a physical problem with the button on the pen. Does it work with a right click on a mouse or trackpad? I feel like I’m asking many stupid questions here but I can’t think of any more useful ideas…

Did you ever resolve this issue? It’s suddenly popped up for me and it’s driving me mad!

I got the same problem, anyone got a fix?

Same problem here, can’t find a solution and I’m about to kill myself!!

Uninstalled the drivers using the Wacom Tablet Utility app and reinstalled an old version of the drivers (here) and it went back to normal!! Thanks Ludzon for the hint.

I had the same issue, I basically unplugged my wacom tablet and then restarted windows, after that I plugged back again my tablet and all back to normal. Very weird glitch…

Well, I’m not sure if its going to help or not. I had the same issue and I realized that my laptop was working on battery mode, I plugged in my laptop and the it fixed that problem with pen right click in Zbrush
