Transpose Master Rigging problem. Mesh deform after Tpose>SubT action

I used Zbrush 4R6 Transpose master with Zsphere Rig.

Hello, as seen in the attached picture. Every thing is fine until I press TPose>SubT. The arms are completely destroyed. Also the Zsphere gone hare-wire, with the zip zapping in the torso & arms’ areas. Anyone know why, & is there a solution.

I wanted to complete this before Christmas, & I hope to find a solution real soon.

ZPlugins:AutoUpdate. Do you have the P2 patch?

Ok, there is a new update. I see if it solve the problem. Thanks. If it does, You will on the list for my Christmas wallpaper card.

I am making Lara wallpaper or the official Tomb raider forum.

Edit: No it doesn’t unfortunately…

Is your model very large? Usually this type of error occurs with large models.

Yes. Its large by Zbrush standard, but in reality its real life scale. She is about 170cm tall (in Maya at least) with the boots. I have to scale the brush to o sculpting.

The zsphere get harewire I think during unbinding mesh.

You’ll have to scale your model down if you want to pose with a zsphere rig.

So its a design issue with large models. Damn. Doesn’t make sense when I m using real world scale. Oh well.

I just mentioned that Zbrush has been a Love /hate relationship with me, & it was more love in the last days…

Anyway, is it me, or the forum have a problem with Internet explorer? Is painful type in IE.

Not wanting to create a new thread, but how do you delete an extra isolated zsphere?

While in Add mode, click the sphere while holding alt. I was on the iPad at the time and couldn’t confirm. No problems posting with IE or Safari.

Set your brush draw size to 1. Then alt click on the sphere, it should delete it. By the way I think it’s recommended to use a draw size of 1 when building Zspheres, but I could be wrong.

Have u tried making adaptive skin instead of going back to Transp >T-subs. Once u’ve create an adaptive skin, u can pull out the newly made zsphere skin and start adding details.

It works fine in Chrome, but not IE.

Anyway, thanks everyone for the reply to my question on the ZSphere. I can’t use the ALt-click method as it is some sort of parent. I cannot move the sphere as well! I have reason to believe it may be the cause (or one of the cause) of the corrupted meshes.

For some reason, the outermost meshes are pulled to the left & right imaginary corners & flatten, also, the top meshes are being pulled to the bottom when the Lonely sphere is located.

I hope to find a solution soon, but that will have to wait, as I need to finish up this soon.

I will try the adaptive skin, as part of the investigation.

Anyway, I remake the zsphere (almost) & while an improvement (unbind doesn’t make the zsphere entangled now), the same exploded mesh happen. I have to use very dirty & slow methods to extract out the meshes.

I cannot get the ztool back to pre-posed position now, & 30% of the mesh are corrupted (they explode when I unclick recording in layer mode)

Nevertheless, this is the result, after patching the meshes, & addtional pose using purely tranpsot master (without buggy Rigging tools). Just using Transport master without rigging is SO SO SO much problem free!

My models usually start from a zsphere armature. I then use the Rigging panel rather than Transpose Master. It would be nice if you could have a rig all made and bind it via Transpose Master but that doesn’t seem to work.

Thanks Jones, once again. Very rarely have I build something from Zsphere. I have actually seen them, but its worth looking again.

$/%$/$//&/,

Now even Transpose master is not working. I keep getting ‘no matching data’ error, before Zbrush turn the display model into a star. Merry Christmas it troll !!!

I literately crying. Yes, first time ever I am crying over a bloody software. Zbrush is doing everything to stop me finishing my work in time, it seems.

I think the error is cause by saving when I am in Transpose master mode. 2 hourts of work, mostly effectively 15 minsutes real work, rest of time battling technical issue with Zbrush, gone done the drain.

How can a software, that is so powerful, & good, when it work, can be also so horrible, with so much technical issues, even for basic function.

After I am done with this, I will make a big list of issue I have & send to Pixologic, & urge them to fix all known issues before making new tools & features.

Anway, let me know if anyone encounter this error & how can it be resolved.

If you altered the rig, that might cause that error. Was your mesh in a T pose in the beginning? Is it one mesh? There is only one root zsphere. Make a rig outside of Transpose Master and bind it in the Rigging panel instead.

After the horror show that is the rigging, I am not using Zsphere anymore, just normal transport master with the move, scale, rotate tools. Thought it was simple enough,. It was just now, suddenly now it doesn’t work (restart zbrush doesn’t work as well). I waste time posing the exact same pose at least 5 times. I am tired, very depressed, & searching the web yield no result.

I only wanted to bloody make a wallpaper for the community for christmas…sob

I take it you have subtools. Your choice. No answer on the T pose question either…if you can get the rig to work it’s lots easier than masking and using transpose…lots faster and easier.

Ok, discovered the problem. I have part of mesh hidden, & its causing the issue…

Would be nice if zbrush inform you when you do transport, but at least the mystery is solved. Anyway, big thanks Jones.

Edit: manage to continue work on her, after the drama, did a bit of texturing, & update her pose. Going well. Now the work in Zbrush is done, back to maya for rendering now.
