After a particularly critical critique over in another forum, I made some minor revisions to my image.

this one’s mouth is great, however. I don’t understand why a manga art forum would demand such a realistic mouth, however, your work is cool either way. I really mean it. don’t mind them =D

I really liked your original version. Now that you’ve posted the re-make, I think I like it even better. Please don’t get me wrong, I think that the 1st version was indeed a great image, but since looking at the new version, I think the new mouth added a lot more depth & character to the face. I guess it’s one of those things that, you don’t know how it’ll look, until you try it.

Just agreeing with everyone else. The pic is a great one, either way, but giving the mouth more life compliments the eyes very nicely and enhances her expression tremendously.
In the original version, it looked a bit like she was smirking. Now her smile is genuinely cheerful.

I like them both, but to me the first one is more in keeping with the Anime style than the second one. I guess to me the simpler mouth depiction seems more authentic, but the second one with fully modelled mouth also works.
I can’t believe anyone could be critical of the first, because to me it is perfect Anime!
I like them both. It is your art, it is always nice if your art is liked by others but in the long it is what YOU like best not others.
Definitely the second one. That mouth made a world of difference in the amount of character being displayed. Very nice piece!
I like both of them.
The mouth in the second really adds a ‘sweeter’ look to her, but since it’s anime the first one looked great also.
I like the toned down texture for the skin a little more on the second, but I liked the material on the robe in the first one better.
They are both great as is. It’s hard to decide which one is better. It’s a favorite of mine, whichever one you choose.
