I made him for one of my characters for my final year project at university. My original idea was to have him riding on an allosaurus like dinosaur, which still might be executed; however, for the time being I am just heading to make the dinosaur as a seperate character, which I will post here when he is complete.

That’s a really fine model. Have to say I’m more than a little surprised you’ve modelled so much with quads rather than rely on the normal maps. However, I feel this wouldn’t look out of place for cinematic use. Nice one.

I wanted to try and give him that dragony vibe, and took a lot of inspiration from crocodiles, iguanas and david krentz who is a dinosaur master!

Just a question about the dinosaur, did you make the details before posing him?
Or did you posed him and made the detail afterward?
And about the details, have you used XYZRGB alpha samples or are they hand made?
