Hi all,
this is my first post here, the background mountains and the foreground moutain are all made in Zbrush (modeling, texturing). The castle and the characters are modeled in xsi, textured in zbrush. I used normal mapping on medium level models (thanks Zmapper!), render and lighting with mental ray in xsi.

I really like this Piece! Really beautiful. :+1: The one thing I would offer is that it might look a bit better if you made the background mountains a bit more jagged, broke up, natural looking, in form and texture. They look like big boulders at the moment, but that does kinda fit with the foreground, Just a thought.

i agree with you, i tried it but as you understand, it didn’t work with the foreground, so i made a mix between soft mountains and more natural. Thanks for your coment

Maybe just lightly touch up the distant rock with a skin texture-type alpha…that might simulate the erosion at higher elevations?

Maybe adding a bit of a Bryce Canyon look in the background ? Then the back ground a foreground would still go together. I don’t know if you are looking for this kind of feedback, but I really like your image but I find the background a bit distracting and would love to this image pushed to the next level of wow :eek:
