Texture map weirdness

Hello! I’m having trouble with my texture map. I used UV Master to create my UV map and it looked acceptable, but when I created a texture map from my UV map it turned out all wonky and instead of creating a nice even gradient it turned out a ton of tiny little repeating jagged boxes. I don’t know if that is really enough information to go on, but any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

I just noticed that the UV map and the texture map created from the UV are both giant, and each little square in the texture map is the size of the floor in my model. This makes me think the problem has something to do with size. However I still haven’t figured out how to fix it.

pics or it didn’t happen.

seriously though, showing the error rather than describing it is probably a better bet.
Also…you unwrapped your mesh in Max?

Do these help? I unwrapped it in ZBrush using UV Master.

I believe I figured it out! I took my model into Maya and scaled the UVs down and that seemed to do the trick. Is there a way to scale your UV map in ZBrush, and why would UV Master make the UV map too large in the first place?
