symetry?

I am totally new at this. I been trying to follow some tutorials but most of them say to go to Modifiers/deforms/symetry but I cant find the Symetry button. Can someone help? I’m using the demo version now. Thanks

Hi Dragon
Welcome aboard !
When you Edit an Object 3D you will find the Symmetry here : Menu Tool/Modifiers/Deformation/ “MIRROR”
Page 180 Chapter 9  Mirror is the symmetry  You can choose of Course X,Y,Z
(the Up little triangles :small_orange_diamond: )

Don’t hesitate to load the beautiful manual and the Quick Guide somptuous !
With the Demo version your are limited by the canvas size 640*480 and no importation
and no saving tools + objects Just to save an “Image.PSD” It’s not so bad :sunglasses:

PS Where is MO ? Montana ? MontReal ?

Welcome to ZBrush!

The symmetry features have been moved to the Transform palette since when those tutorials were created.

If they are ZScript sessions that quit when hitting that point, you can actually open them in a text editor and replace the path name. Just do a search and replace command to replace

Tool:Modifiers:Symmetry:

with

Transform:

The script will then run correctly.

Have you run the tutorials that come with ZBrush yet? Those tutorials have already been adjusted for you.

Some many symmetry

Thanks alot for the info. Helped alot. Got to tell you. I was saving my money for Poser, or maybe Vue d’esprit, or Bryce. Couldn’t decide. But now that I have discovered Zbrush, I think I really want this program.

One more question. What file formats can Zbrush save in. Can you create a scene and save as .jpg for example?

Hi Dragon
Zbrush can Export Images in Bmp or Psd format or Pict (for Mac) and Import the same + Jpg
