StarCraft2 art work

Hi guys,
It took me several trys to post an art work in here.
Here is the 3d art work I did recently. I am a big fan of StarCraft2. I model it in Maya and Zbrush.I hope you guys enjoy it.


to answer some of the questions:
-It is a high res model with skin shader ,maya fur and maya hair.
-I did not plan well and I was doing the design while doing the 3d model. There are several maps for the whole model and they are mostly 2k Maps for normal maps but 1K or even less for the difuss maps.
-I use poly paint to paint the base color for the face.(as you can see in the zbrush image).Then I fix it and add more details in photoshop

-I will post a Wire frame shot and zbrush shot and the lighting set up shot later.

This is great. I like all of the attention to detail. What did you use to render this, did you polypaint it, what size are the maps, and is this the transferred topologized mesh?

One critique is that the belt and satchel that is running diagonal across the pelvis seems backwards… - wouldn’t the satchel sag lower and the belt be ‘hugging’ the hip line? Unless i am reading it wrong and the satchel is attached to the darker belt.

As you can see I am trying to bulid the beard with Maya fur. His skin was too tan and I did not notice that :confused:

Like you mentioned, the design doesn’t shine (in some places) but boy does the execution. I love the face modeling along with the polypaint/texture on it. Excellent work!
