Shawn Ray, Bodybuilder

I exaggerated the flow in my drawing a bit but I still contend that the strands in your model run parallel, when in reality they converge at one point on the arm. Because bodybuilders build their muscle size to such extremes the insertion point is obscured by the juxtaposed muscle groups that it tucks underneath.

see how the strands actually gather more as they get closer to the insertion point on the arm.

Sorry if I’m being too much of anatomy nazi.

I still think your work is awesome.montage_delt7228.jpg

tonysculptor : Yeah ok I figure what you mean, finally haha  So you mean they are attaching at the same place on the bone. I know it but I admit that especially on my right shoulder it’s too parell, the other one is better, I will fix the two shoulders, no problem, thank’s to point it out. you’re not too nazy, it’s with details like that that we evolve, trying to pushing it to the max everytime.

So here is a little update on the eyebrow shape, a little more like shawn ray. Some modif to come on the face.

fantastic stuff big guns. I admire your dedication to this project. It’s a wonderful study!!

This looks really good, what brush did you mainly use to model it? I’m not so good at zbrush yet :s Looks like a really nice tight model

Well Done  :+1:

Looking great!

l!

Here is a little test on the smile, is it better? maybe I made the lower lips too small.,… and little change on the eyebrows…

Let me know what you think.

man, I cannot see this smile anymore. this model is not bad sculpted…but the smile… I hate it  sorry
since one week …everytime I vistit ZBC this smile !!! wwweeeee

hi boy

awesome work

some things on the skin though

bodybuilders do tan their a lot

and shawns skin is toned and so is ronnie coleman the one with the cap

all of them tan their bodies and a light gel of skiin highlighter is applied to achiever depth of muscles on stage

and the pose you have done is one of his onstage pose and on season pose so his body is definetly tanned

so take note that it is not his basic skin tone

and yes the delt kind of enters the biceps

over all i say awesome man

his eyes are alive.like the way u create the skin;)

good luck

looks fantastic,
the deltoids issue is simple…
they do insert at one point. even in these extreme cases where the surrounding muscles obfuscate that fact.

Hi all! Here is an update on the shoulder fibers direction.

T.S.Wittelsbach : Yeah I did correct it. Thank’s, nice graphic by the way.

mandana2000 : Thank’s man!

truthhunter : Take a look at the pic that shawn is with cloth so off season, compare his skin tone with a white man. His not a very black guy, so I used this one too. I know they use tan and a light gel of skiin highlighter and that’s surely why he does’nt look to have the same skin tone on most of the pics lol. The lighting is for something to but anyway…for the moment this is the color I gave to him, at the end, I can change it.

Much better delt.

Delts look perfect!

ok i have no clue what ur guys are talking about and i dont see any difference

but thats just me having no clue of anatomy

i got to say your sculpt is looking fantastic even though im not very keen
of bodybuilder bodys and the substances they take to get them.

i guess im more of an white ethiopian and id outrun this lump of muscles easily.

with those upper leg muscles hell rather cause a fire between his legs than catch up :stuck_out_tongue:

now that most is done id love to see u paint a second layer of colour for all those veins and posting us some nice sss renders :sunglasses: :+1:

This model is incredible! Though I cringe at the thought of (muscular) dudes rubbed in oil, I think you’ve really captured the character well!

Great sense of proportion and musclulature! Keep it up!

he realy looks like a gay

Idiot.

Fantastic sense of volume, great work!

Wooooooow!! that definition is awsome! Great Details! Great job.

:grimacing:What more can I say. . .you’ve done it again
