Roman Pillar WIP

Hey, This is a pillar i’m doing for a game modeling class. This is the current progress. Comments welcome.

the weight of the pillar, i doubt would sit on those two rocks, could very easily topple over

I checked my reference image and yep the pillar was too large. Here is an update. Anyone have any tips for modeling/texturing stone? Im using lightbox and high res stone images to pull out some detail. I still need to add to the base and get some dirt and vegetation in there.

There is still more that needs to be done but we’re going to retopo now in class. Wont let me place my image in my post though.

Did some more work on the pillar. This class is basically just teaching us the process of going from a high to a low poly model.

This last model of the wall I did in about three hours. I’m really trying to get this process down so that I don’t waste time in the future trying to figure it out.
