When I first started collecting Heavy Metal there was a glimpse into this world that Patrick Mills and Olivier Ledroit called Requiem Vampire Knight. I was floored when I first saw it and never saw it again. It stayed with me for decades and thought of the comic and my lost Heavy Metal mags often. Sad face.
Then Heavy Metal was having a sale and I looked it up in their graphic novels section and thank God both collected editions were there. I bought it and checked the shipping status daily. As soon as it came in I read it from front to back in one day.
This is the greatest artwork I have ever seen in a comic book. The story is hilarious, violent, satirical with a huge depth of style and lore that makes this one of the most complete worlds I’ve had the pleasure to dive into.
I hope you search out this comic book, read it and enjoy it as much as I did.
