Render preview

Hi guys, may someone give me some advice on how to make the render preview brighter like in the first example? In the second preview, it is darker though I use the same material. I added a screenshot with render settings below. (After some time of experimenting with various settings I got no similar results like in the first preview). I would be glad for some help.

Hi @Astroteles_Evetrials

In the Light palette, try increasing the “Ambient” slider a little bit at a time to see if you get closer to the results you want. Keep in mind that the Light palette will only work with Standard Materials.

Thanks for the reply, I followed your advice and it brightened a little but it’s barely noticeable even If I set Ambient to 100.

Are you using one of the Standard Materials like Basic Material? The lights won’t work on MatCaps. You should have seen a big difference when increasing Ambient slider where 100 would turn everything white. Below are the default settings for Render Properties and BPR Shadows. If you are still getting the same results, try adding another light.

Ok problem solved, the reason why the first render preview was brighter is that though it was the same material as the second render, it had a color set to pure white while the second one was grayer. Sorry for bothering it came out it was not a render property problem but just a different material color. Thanks for trying to help me through.
