RedShift - How To Install?

I am opening the Maxon App.
In there, I download Redshift.

Installation starts. I select the CORE only, since I don’t need it for any other applications than ZBrush.

After Installation, RedShift doesn’t show up in the Render Settings.

Where is Redshift?
What am I missing here?

I am talking about the CPU Redshift Render that comes with Zbrush 2023.

Thanks for a step by step guide, appreciate it!

Hi @FattyBull ,

The preferences menu Im looking at here is not the correct Preferences menu from ZBrush 2023. There should be a separate section for Redshift. Please make sure you are using the correct version of the program.

If this is a screenshot from your installation of ZBrush 2923, then your installation is faulty in some way and you will need to contact ZBrush Support for assistance.

However, the procedure is simple.

  1. Install ZBrush 2023 through the Maxon app. Make sure to let the app create an entirely new install for ZBrush 2023–it should not be installed into an existing ZBrush 2022 program folder.

  2. Install Redshift 3.5.12 at the default settings through the Maxon App.

  3. Open ZBrush 2023. In a properly functioning install there should be a Redshift menu in the Render palette. Enable Redshift there and adjust your quality settings as desired.

  4. Render using the BPR button.
