Realistic Eyes in ZBrush

Guys I need help with materials.

How can I render realistic looking eyes like on this image below solely in ZBrush

this image comes from this post

Is it even possible? I know I can easily do it in 3ds Max by combination of two spheres, inside one would be concave and have a texture of an iris, and the outer would be convex with glass like material on it.

I tried to do it in ZBrush but there is no refraction transparent material looks just flat no light bending whatsoever. Obviously I am doing something wrong here as I have seen so many nice eyes done in zbrush so it must be possible.

Can you point me to a right direction, which material to use as a glass and how to modify it so it looks like solid lens with proper refraction (I tried refraction options on top of toyplastic material in render pallet I think and it didn’t do much)

I have digged out that from zbrush 4 R2 refraction is broken so this is probably my answer
