Pressure sensitivity in tablet-PC with N-Trig digitizer

Hi I have a Dell XT tablet PC. It has an N-Trig digitizer that works really nice with both touch and pen. The pen supports pressure sensitivity in several inking programs like Windows Journal, ArtRage etc. However, as I was surprised to discover after buying ZBrush, that ZBrush does not seem to recognize the pressure sensitivity. Is there a way to enable pressure sensitivity in ZBrush on the Dell XT? Any advice?

I already asked this question through the official technical support, they told me to post the question here.

No one? …

most program using wintab API with Pressure sensitivity digitizer

"because someone (The Digitizer Technology Compay, www.vtablet.com) applied for and received a patent on Wintab several years after it was in the public domain. Several companies including the original developers sued, one company settled with DTC and is the only one developing new drivers today. The developers didn’t have the money to continue so the lawsuit was dropped. DTC aggressive pursues anyone infringing on their domain.

Most companies (Adobe, Corel, etc) will develop directly for the Microsoft Tablet OS marketplace. We are seeing this already in a few products. This should obsolete Wintab for the most part. Our add-ins are a bridge until this is complete."

maybe when windows 7 come out, the thing will change?!

I find that some one have linux patch n-trig 2 wacom driver, and there are wintab for wine(windows software run in linux), and some one have try zbrush in wine(need to setup something), maybe it will make you zbrush work with n-trig, but i havent try it, and it seen not easy to setup!:stuck_out_tongue:

I just read up on the whole patent mess after reading this thread:
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/374836

It seems like Adobe finally says they will try to work on adding support for Windows tablet API.

Will Pixologic?
