This project started as a short portrait study and evolved into a complete piece, where I applied the entire character development pipeline for cinematics. The head was modeled from sphere and I recorded the process in a video timelapse. The hair was also created in ZBrush. I used a base mesh, transferred it to the sculpt, and added many small details. Thanks to textures XYZ, I achieved high realism in the skin’s fine details. I modeled the clothing, and the scarf was created using simulation in Marvelous Designer. The face textures were baked in ZBrush and finalized in Substance Painter. The final lookdev and render were done in 3ds Max using V-Ray. I experimented with several HDR maps and various shaders, and the final lighting for the main image was set up using separate light sources. Final post-processing was done in Photoshop.
