Polypaint In Zbrush & Export The Texture To 3Ds Max?

Hi Guys

I’m still a newbie with this software. I was wondering if you could polypaint in Zbrush and then export the painted model out of zbrush into another 3D program like 3D Studio Max? Will i still have the painted texture on my model in another program?

Also, is there any good tutorials on rendering? I can’t find any good ones.

Some programs (like xnormal) support importing polypaint / vertex colors, but because it’s not a standard feature of the obj file format it’s really heads or tails if the program you’re using will read that extra data (usually not).

The alternative is to create a pair of UVs (zbrush has several tools for this), at which point you can convert the polypaint to a texture map and export that as well.
