Here’s an image that’s been out for a little while now (also in the book with lots of great work!). Initial creature design by Wayne Barlowe.

I did the first 3d iteration of this Kaiju (Codename:KNIFEHEAD). Started it as Wayne was still doing different view’s of it right beside me, so I had quite a lot of input directly from him and Guillermo.
The design was later adjusted by Simon Webber and Im sure there’s more iterations until the final that was used in the film!

Sculpted from scratch in zbrush. I’ll show a couple more images once the film has been released.

Awesome work! Just watched it and it was amazing! Knifehead is my favorite creature from the movie. lol

That’s some really nice work you’ve got there. I’d love to see more. I always thought it’d be nice to work with Guillermo.

Just saw the movie. Very entertaining. Sensory overload, not in a bad way. :slight_smile: I can’t wait to see it again that way I can really concentrate on the designs versus the plot and action. Though it was an awesome homage to the classic 60’s Kaiju movies.

Will you be posting more creatures? Hopefully so.
