Obj exported texture doesn't flip

I was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue.

I’ve created a model in ZB, UVs done in UV Master. When I use the Export Menu to export to Maya ver9, the map doesn’t flip even with “flp” pressed and of course the map is applied incorrectly in Maya.

When sending it to Maya via goZ, no problem with the map.

As a fix, I simply manually, externally flipped the Zbrush generated map and reapplied it to the model and everything was fine, the textured mapped correctly. I suppose, as a work around that’s fine, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they’ve had this same problem and what, if anything, can I do to fix it? I’d prefer to have Zbrush flip it during export as it does in GoZ.

ZBrush has never automatically flipped textures. After creating the texture and cloning it to the Texture palette you can use the Flip button found there before exporting it from ZBrush.

GoZ does autoflip, but if you’re using the default ZBrush functionality you need to do it yourself.

Thanks Aurick. I have a follow up question, but it’s likely more appropriate for the “GoZ” thread/forum, so I’ll post it there.

Thanks, I was wondering the same thing about an auto flip for texture maps. You would think it would have an option in the import export area of the preferences for this to happen.
