I am fairly new to Zbrush and was working on a simple creature that could be used in a game engine such as unity. I finished the sculpt and got all the maps and the low res mesh and put them in marmoset toolbag to see how it looked. However the mesh still looks very rough, and it’s not very smooth. I was wondering what I did wrong and if there was anyway to fix it?
Need more info.
What did you unwrap in?
Where did you generate your normals?
What do your UVs look like?
What does your normal map look like?
Hey thanks for replying. I created my maps and uvs in Zbrush. I will attach pictures of my normal map and UV. I apologize if the map or uv is bad I am fairly new to this whole process.
Hey thanks for replying. I unwrapped it in Zbrush as well as made my maps in Zbrush. I will attach pictures of maps. I apologize if there not very good I am fairly new to this whole process.
If you have access to a program like Maya, then you could goZ or export the model to Maya. In Maya select you model and under the normals menu select soften edge. Export this model and import to Marmoset and apply your maps. This should make your model not look faceted. Hope this helps.
Okay thanks for the help I will defiantly be looking into getting maya.
Your tip worked, the only problem I am running into now is when I smooth it the UV changes.
Nevermind I’m an idiot I figured it out thanks for the help
