Hello,
I just wanna share what I did. I was commissioned/collaborator for this one. I know it’s nothing intricate or super crazy sculpt, but I feel really really proud of this one.
The idea came from my collaborator, which is a tribute to a local fruit stand here in Seattle called Rising Sun Produce. This sculpture is installed at a new building where the old fruit stand used to be. Don’t worry, the fruit stand is still alive thankfully; they relocated across the street!
This fruit stand has been an institution in the Roosevelt neighborhood. Since my collaborator grew up in this area, he thought this was a proper homage.
