My first Zbrush creature head WIP

gammhead15group.jpg

After seeing all the amazing stuff here for the past year or so, I finally took the plunge and purchased Zbrush myself. I’m pretty good with Photoshop but I’ve never worked with a 3-D program. The controls are pretty daunting but with the help of a few friends and all the information here, I’m hoping to become a first class Zbrusher someday. Above is my first try at an alien creature using a pre-modeled base head the tools I’ve been learning so far.

welcome to the community!

Kerry, your first ZBrush stuff looks great. I had to smile at an earlier post you made, lamenting trying to learn ZBrush, in which you referenced your age. I’m a year older than you and a whole lot less talented to start with: I feel your pain.

BTW: Excellent web site! All you ZBrushers out there should really check it out: Awesome stuff!

Check your e-mail later today, for some Z-prizes!!

Great for your first head. I also checked out your site. Beautiful work! You are a very talented designer and I see you did quite a bit of work for XFX. I work in the makeup fx industry also. I cant wait wait to see what you come up with, once youve had more time to play around with Z brush. Jamie

Good first post Kerry! See ya Soon!

Thanks for all the encouraging comments. And thanks to my talented friends Scott and Greg for giving me so much help getting started.

Looks good. Photoshop is a gateway program which leads to hardcore programs like ZBrush.
