Hi all,

Last nigth I started to do a new model. That’s Mumm-ra from Thundercats!!
I’m doing a new look but I’m trying not to lose the spirit from the original concept!
I’m posting the first steps here and I’m going to post all the step by step here.
I love this character and hope you like my version!

that’s hilarious—i was just looking for reference materials for a possible mumm-ra sculpt. this looks great man. are you doing the hooded, decrepit version or the super huge transformed version?

Its looking great, Im actually doing his enemy, in other words, the hero: Lion-O!! Only I really changed him, Its my version of Lion-O in a more cartoonie cat like way. Haave a look so you can see what I mean.

Im not finished yet though, I have been working on the body so I kind of left the head modeling aside for abit, but dont worry, as soon as Im done I will be posting my next update. But anyways, cool Mum-Ra!

It’s coming along really nicely! Is he gonna have a body as well? And, yeah… that’s a great choice for a model :slight_smile:

More steps!!!

Although he wears some mummy strips, I decided to model the whole body to show his anatomy…

I applied some alphas on the head:

I used transpose to find a better pose to the model:

Then I began to work on the body using simmetry:

So I began to work without simmetry from now on:

I’ve done two different arms… I did’nt use simmetry in this case:

I’ve done one hand and I used the “smartresym” to the other one:

Now some alphas on the body:

your updates are just spectacular, no doubt that when it its competed it will hit the top row, will you be rendering this in a 2nd program?
