Mayan Queen

So… this is my first real attempt at creating a character in Zbrush (which by the way is an incredible tool - I absolutely love it!!)

I’ve done her base mesh in Zbrush which has actually given me some problems - seems like it’s somewhat harder to control your mesh.
The bracelets too have been done in Zbrush, and the rest is very lowpoly meshes from max - and that works perfectly I think.
So far it’s just the model - later I’ll be posting it with other materials and textures…

Feel free to comment thanx!

cool Bjerregaard - i like the detail in the headpiece.

one thing i will comment on is that the face feels more masculine than feminine. i think mostly in the mouth to nose region.

keep it up!

Love it! :+1:

The flow of ornements you gave her is really something you can use and work along in order to turn her more in a killer frame because right now honestly, she got a little too much of a dessert style going on.
Like she is made all of candy parts.
You need to crease and crunch those ornements a littles.
Like they’ve been worned by a few more nobles before.

But truly I think you got a piece here.

Cheers!

Very nice modell!

Now her face is more like a mayan king, but I hope you will sculpt it more. The body up til the collar bone is very good, but above that should be corrected.

Looking forward to see the progress.

I rate it! :+1:

Hi again…

thanx for the comments! I appreciate it!
I actually kinda like that she’s got a masculine face - but of course I don’t want her to look like a man! I think I’ll wait until I’ve put some color on her - and then maybe evaluate her face again…

I do agree with the candy part thing though - I can definately see what you mean. I’ll try later to bash it up a bit… or something. Maybe it’s the underlying plates in particular - they are a bit to thick to be some sort of armour piece…

Anyway - I’ve added the last subtools, but I don’t think I’ll be fixing anything for a while or coloring for that matter. My computer is just not feeling happy about all the subtools, so changing anything in the model takes forever!
So I think I’ll just wait until I get my new computer - which hopefully won’t be that long…

Looking really good! Yeah, I hear ya about the subtools. If you haven’t, try bringing the subtools that you’re not working on at the time down to their lowest lvl. That might speed you up a bit, at least until you upgrade.

how the hell did you get all those details on her helmet. looks cool

About the helmet… GOD BLESS alphas and the lazymouse!! I did use several hours on it, but thats the weird thing - sometimes I really just loose myself in all the detailing - I didn’t even notice the time passing. Some people do yoga, I do detailing in Zbrush…

So I finally finished the model - and then did some color correction in Photoshop.

A very beautiful final image.

The next time you model a woman with legs bent, have a look at how the knee goes; on this model it seems like you have sculpted two patellas.

Cheers,

R

Hi Rory

You’re right about the knee’s - thanx! I hadn’t noticed that!

Wow simply marvellous.Woot great job =D
