Just trying my hand at a low poly game character for the first time. Splitting character in pieces and modeling them seperately since I’m on a Mac with ZB2. First work with my new Wacom Cintiq. Night and day difference in speed and quality. Highly recommend it to anyone and well worth the money. All C & C welcome. This head bust is unfinished btw. Just posting before im off to bed for the night. Thanks for looking!
this is really cool! looking forward to seeing this guy painted, and also the rest of the body. good stuff
Might as well post some of the other half done parts

Done with modeling the head. Now on to the body…
nice character
He looks really nice. I love the armor design
Good job! Very “super hero” looking costume! I wish I had money for a Cintique, but I’ve spent so much on new 3D software the past month. So I’ll stick with my 9x12 Intuos3 for now.
I’m curious, since the Cintiq is basically an LCD monitor, does it hook up to your video port or your USB port or both?
pmdesign: Thanks a lot!!
TJX: Thank you too! Yeah I also have the 9x12 and thats what ive been using up until now. Still can’t believe how much difference the Cintiq makes. And yes, it has both a DVI plug and usb you have to connect, plus giant power supply. The main cable is huge at almost an inch thick=quality. Couldn’t be happier with it. Now what to do with this extra 19" i’ve got now…
i really, really like how the different pieces have a different texture to them, very cool. Can’t wait to see different materials applied to them to enhanced that even more. on your head, the jawbone piece that goes up to the cheek seems incomplete since it so smooth, not even a tiny fabric texture on it. Anatomy wise, the only problem I see is that his chest is so narrow, it seems like for the rest of his body, it needs to broaden out. drag the corners where his nipples would be to the outside of his body to get a more rectangular shape. I like what’s going on with the hand, just add some of that awesome detail that you have with your cintiq you lucky dog, you! I have a 9x12 intous, good enough for me on my student/college money schemes.
Heh, you could sell your old Intuos for a low price. I have a stubborn friend who won’t give up his “brick” (mouse) cause he finds Wacom tablets too expensive and not worth it.
Been awhile. Been on my deathbed lately battling Strep. Anyways little color update. Starting to add the decaying skin.
