L.Sym (Local Symmetry)

Anybody knows what this does.

Local Symmetry of subtools (like an eyeball subtool in a head tool).

how does it work ?

Directly extracted from the wiki.

Local SymmeLocal Symmetry allows you to switch the pivot point used for symmetry to be the center of the visible mesh.

When you move a SubTool off the main axis of the model you can use this option to still sculpt in symmetry.

It’s pretty clear to me, and pretty useful.

unfortunately this doesn’t seem to work with the usual Ctrl-Shift drag Hiding method, only with subtools (with all polys visible). So I guess you have to make a subtool out of a visibility selection in order to work on it symmetrically… but mesh extract changes the geometry and delete hidden cant be used on high subd levels so Im really not sure how you would make it a subtool and merge it back easily. Anyone?
