King Kong VS Hair Removal

This is my first ZBrush illustration. I switched from 2D to 3D illustrations 3 months ago with the help of ZBrush. It makes the learning process progress much quicker when you’re just concentrating on 3D.

After ZBrush for the body and Max for the building top I compiled and touched up in Photoshop. The body was built, textured and rendered in ZBrush.
Since each limb has over 1 million polygons I modeled each one separately as well as a separate head and torso. I am modeling whole upper body and lower body now. I may switch over to bump maps for skin pores and all in the future…

I only modeled what the ‘‘camera’’ would see because of time constraints. In the next year I’ll be doing about 100 models and I’d be broke if I worked on one for a whole year. However, I’ll be doing complete models in the near future probably completing in a few days, mabey less. Like most everyone else in 3D I’m learning to sculpt and will no doubt get better and quicker.

nice work!

Great work. Really good for someone just starting out with Zbrush.
Wonder where you will be a year from now.

Excellent job.

I like it.

very good and really funny :))

ahahah nice and funny

Thanks, MrLearner, cy, vlad74, darko999, and ludikastyle.

Cy, I had a false start with ZBrush about 2 years ago. Studied, went through all the tutorials up to the ‘suit of armor’, then stopped. A few months ago I did the same thing and for whatever reason stopped at the suit of armor tutorial again and decided I was ready to do my work in ZBrush.

I don’t know if anyone here refers to bodybuilding magazine’s for superheroish anatomy reference but this pic is in this month’s MuscleMag.

Thanks, Fouad B.

looks nice! I would like to have seen the trapezius defined more and I thing the Kong’s lazy eye and scars are on the other side.

Nice work dude

Cool pectorial, tricep, and bicep W.I.P. - on your site -

Grom, thanks, I agree about the traps, I could have thrown in striations. Problem solved on the eye and tooth below.

Wayne, thanks, I'm modeling them as a whole now, here's a pec gif I had done. ![haney01.gif|292x325](upload://j5chG5hERc8smJVWeHvTTQAvZTq.gif)
