How to remove curve guide line?

I created a curve guide for insert mesh.
Inserted the mesh, later removed the mesh insert (split unmasked to a new subtool)
I can’t get the guide line to go away… it is no longer on the surface… I keep converting it to it’s own subtool and deleting it, but it remains there (the guide line) It looks like a line on this image. It stays in same position throughout sizing, rotating… just won’t go away!

How do I get rid of this??

Select the subtool that you drew the curve on then go to ‘Stroke > Curve Functions’ and click ‘Delete’.
