How to make this hexagon sphere?

Hi!)
Tell me please. How to make this hexagon sphere?

any ideas?

Noise Maker is the big one. It even comes with a built-in hex pattern. If your goal is a perfectly seamless result then that will end up largely depending on the size of each hex and probably your UVs.

But how make seamless-perfect UVs for sphere?

It is not possible to create seamless UVs for a sphere. You could use the free software TopMod
http://code.google.com/p/topmod/
if you need a hexagon polysphere .

Through extreme trial and error, and it’s quite possible that the result may not be flawless, merely hidden. You’d likely have an easier time if you have access to an external modeling program (some things are best done outside of zbrush, which is why GoZ rocks). They usually have built-on or free icosahedron or geodesic generators (example) that can give you a sphere made out of hexs (perhaps with the occasional pentagon, but they still blend in nicely) . For the main form I’d start with a shape like that, and perhaps just let the program handle any insets and extruding that need to be done. Then the UVs could be based along the pattern, and noise maker can take it from there.
