By combining 3D technology with the traditional bronze casting technique, it is pretty easy to convert your Zbrush model into real bronze sculpture.
The basic workflow
Step 1: Zbrush modelling. It is the start of your work. One of thing worthy keeping in mind is duo to the limitation to the printing definition of most 3D printer, not every bit of details of your 3D model will be kept on the 3D printing, especially when you are using desktop grade printer.
Step 2: Data crunching. The Zbrush empowered digital model will be converted into STL format for 3D printing.
Step 3: 3D printing. There are many sub branches of 3D printing techniques. Some 3D printer are desktop grade, which is OK for preliminary design stage but it may not print out your model perfectly. While some 3D printing technology costs more but they produce great result.
Step 4: Bronze casting.A foundry will make use of the 3D printing and cast it in bronze.
Below is a recent case Tany Foundry produces.
This sculpture features extremely complicated shapes, which is not possible to make with traditional bronze casting technique. We figure out the best approach would be 3D printing the digital model in wax and do ceramic shell directly from the wax. From our experience, the 3D printed wax is a perfect match with lost wax bronze casting process.
Below are the process photos.

This bronze sculpture is impossible to produce without the help of 3D technology.
