How the **** do you scale something in one direction in this stupid ****ing program?

All I want to do is scale an object on one axis.

For example, scaling a square so it turns into a rectangle.

The scaling tool is by far the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.

**** this program.

Tool >> Deformation >> Size if you are scaling along the X, Y or Z axis. Just turn off the modifiers for the axes you don’t want scaled.

Or use TransPose to scale in any direction along a line you specify. http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/3d-modeling/posing-your-model/ (Navigate between pages using the navigation on the left.)

Swearing, however will make no difference whatsoever.

Reading the docs will help you a lot ;). Also, at the bottom of the geometry palette are sliders for scale, both entire object or axis of choice.

Easiest way

you get better answers with a little honey than you do with pissey behavior.
