How do you straighten up polygon lines?

Hi all, question again. I have a tons of questions on zmodeler (or zbrush itself) and here’s one of them.

How do you guys straighten /tidy up unevenness polygon lines such as this?

I’m currently catch the cross points of each lines and moving it but it is very hard to make perfect ruler-like straight lines.
I need to know for hard surface modelling.

Does anyone have good tips on this? Any help, advice, or better other ways are welcome,

Thanks in advance.

Hello, Kazufumi,

I saw this has been unanswered so I registered to hopefully clarify and assist you. One of the best ways I’ve found to straighten lines is to mask everything except the vertices you want to straighten, and use the ClipCurve brush to draw out a straight line where you want the unmasked vertices to be evened out. It’ll adjust and straighten them without affecting any other region, and can even be used in the middle of a model to straighten out any warped or distorted edges.

I’m sure there are alternatives, but this has been the easiest method for me thus far. If needed, I could provide images for further assistance or example.

Hello Vozhd,

Thank you very much for your kind assistance to help my lack of very basic knowledge.
This is hard surface material so I wanted to tidy or straighten up all these lines on the surface at the same time with just one click, to polish the hard surface, but yes I think this is the easiest way using clip curve to straighten up lines one by one.

Thanks a lot again, Vozhd, for giving me nice tips!
