Hi I’m following a tutorial and all goes well except the selection unselection process. I’ve managed to select the parts I want subdividided but everytime I unselect this region the rest of the model gets hidden. Is there a shortcut that lets me see the model as a whole and not just partsof it. It’s not masking it’s just regular selection.

Shift/ctrl left click on the canvas should unhide the whole model. Do not click anywhere on the model itself.
ctrl+shift= green----select that region
ctrl+shift=green unpress shift and mantain ctrl= red ----hide
ctrl+shift+click canvas------appear the whole model
ctrl+shift+drag canvas------appear the hide portion of the mesh
