How do I import an .OBJ in Zbrush?

I have looked through many menus but I cannot seem to figure this out. How would I import a .obj into Zbrush? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Select the Polymesh3D tool (The 6 pointed star). Then, under inventory you will have the option for import.

Where is the five-pointed star? If it helps, I am using Z-brush 2.23 not 2.5.

hehe , you’re one of those time-travelers that has version 2.23 :stuck_out_tongue:

no , seriously , if you click on any tool in your tool pallete and then click on it again a window should popup with all available tools , the one you need is the Polymesh3D tool , which is represented by a star. (It’s on the 3th row , 3th tool in the popup window)

If you selected the polymesh tool , click on Inventory (under Modfiers) , another menu will slide out that has Import Options.

Good luck

I can now import my (bad) Milkshape models into Zbrush! Thanks guys!

 Hey, I want a copy of that 2.23 too! Where do we get it? <g> :} Jim

You can import 3D Files into Zbrush through the tool menu, located by default on the top right-hand section of the screen. Here is a video that explains the process in simple terms (beginning at 1:45) : https://youtu.be/8U7XnnL1HHE?t=107

As well as a separate video that explains the process of importing multiple .obj’s at once : https://youtu.be/RYJk-WsA0k8
