I have spent about three hours trying to search an answer online but to no avail, any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first go at ZBrush, awesome program, so I apologize if there was an answer I missed elsewhere.
I am having trouble with the new release of 4R2. It seems like symmetry or mirror are acting on the model in opposite directions, one side of the model the points get “pulled” and the other get “pushed”. If you look at the line of symmetry one side the brush stroke raises off the model while the other pushes into the model. Also Having trouble getting the pivot centered and lined up properly on the model.
This started when I exported the model to retopologize in 3dCoat, not sure if it has anything to do with my issue.
I have tried turning mirror on and off in all three axis, i have resim’ed and smart resim’ed the mesh. I have tried clearing and resetting the pivot point. I have mirror and welded the right side to the left, i have exported the mesh as an obj and imported it again. I have tried to unify the mesh. I have tried these steps, and a few others, in different orders just to see if I could stumble on the right sequence of commands but nothing seems to work. If I go to earlier saved versions of the mesh than this problem does not occur but using the most recent couple of save files i have the issue. The mesh is %99.99456 symmetrical so that shouldn’t be an issue.
Will post a screen shot later on when i get a chance, I would be happy to send a .ZPR to someone interested in checking the file for me. Thanks again.
