Hi,
When using Taper function from the Gizmo and tapering a cylinder (a ring really) so that the section under the finger is narrower than the top, the shape of the ring on the other axis also changes shape. The round cylinder goes V shaped at the bottom. Is there a function so that just one axis gets tapered? I know there is an old method using a graduated alpha as a mask, but hoping to get taper to work independently in each axis .

Hi Voxel.

Going to need some pics, I think. Im not having any trouble tapering a cylinder along one axis with that deformer. You may need to illustrate the problem. You can drag and drop pics directly into the text window to upload them to the thread.

Added above thanks. OK … a lighter touch on the opacity control cures it. Great. Got it.
